August 9, 2016: International Studies Director (Deadline: November 1)
The interdisciplinary Program in International Studies at the University of California, Irvine, invites applications for the position of Director of International Studies. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate or Full Professor in Anthropology, Political Science or Sociology and will begin July 1, 2017. We welcome applicants in any of these disciplines who have a strong record of scholarship, teaching and administrative experience. The program in International Studies is especially interested in candidates who have demonstrated broad interdisciplinary interests in pressing global issues. Familiarity with or interest in international experiential learning initiatives is also desirable.

The International Studies program is housed in the School of Social Sciences but also draws on faculty in the Humanities, Arts, Public Health, Social Ecology, Law, and the Business School at UCI. It is a large and cutting-edge undergraduate major, and is in the process of developing a Master program in International and Global Analysis. The new Director will be responsible for overseeing the major as well as coordinating new initiatives with the Dean and relevant departments in the School and across campus. International Studies Lecturers (Deadline: January 30, 2017)
The Program in International Studies is establishing a pool of qualified applicants as Lecturers to teach courses in International Studies, including but not limited to International Political Economy, Regional Studies (Middle East and Africa), Humanitarianism, NGOs, Public Policy, Gender, and Global Trade.

These positions may be available during the Fall 16, Winter 2017 and/or Spring 20 17 quarters. We are seeking candidates with strong teaching credentials who can contribute to the quality of our undergraduate program. The number of courses available varies by quarter and year.

Rank: Lecturer
Salary Range: $5,500 - $6,000 per course

Qualifications: Ph.D. preferred in the related area of International Studies disciplines.
